Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning program "New Day" as well as a Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the trustee board at Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota is an journalist for 30 years, covered news stories both nationally and internationally. She received one Emmy Award in her early career for covering the arrest for Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award for breaking the details of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford has been named as an honorary board participant after being on the board for seven months. Anna Czekaj Farber, who is currently the chair of the Westport board following her time on it since 2013, is a new board member. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who has been acting chairperson since the end of October 2015. She continues her service on the board, which began in 2006. The Playhouse's Board of Trustees includes 26 members.
